An advocacy mission to decision-makers at the group level around the participation of women in decision-making bodies was at the heart of a workshop to strengthen women's leadership organized in the health zones of Komanda and Nyakunde, in Irumu territory, Ituri province.

This activity is part of the actions carried out by the Gender Education and Development Network (REGED), with the financial support of the Fund for Congolese Women (FFC), aimed at consolidating peace through the active involvement of women in local governance.

Two activities were carried out in different clusters. The first was held in Mangiva, in the Bandiamusu cluster, where 20 participants took part, including 15 women leaders. The second activity took place in Sota, also bringing together 20 community leaders, bringing the total number of participants trained to 40.

Speaking, Ms. Stéphanie Kasaki, project manager within REGED, said she was satisfied with the commitment of the women participants. She encouraged the latter to become more involved and to demonstrate their role in the bodies of
